Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong forklift skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload goods.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Perform order picking, packing, and staging for outbound shipments with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of products to prevent damage.
- Assist with warehouse organization, including storage layout optimization and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Follow safety protocols when operating equipment and handling materials to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment; certification preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or order fulfillment roles.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, weights, and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience with packaging materials and techniques for order picking in e-commerce settings is a plus.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at the warehouse location. This role is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations by ensuring accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control while adhering to safety standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with the skills necessary to support our distribution goals efficiently.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
