Position: Machinist – Manual Lathe/Mills (Journeyperson preferred)
Salary: $38 - 44/hour - Negotiable depending on experience / Qualifications
Location: Edmonton Alberta
Day Shift 8:00AM - 4:30PM - Overtime Available
Currently seeking a Manual Machinist to primarily operate both Lathes and Mills for a busy repair and service shop for industrial equipment (parts for Centrifuges). Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years operating a range of milling and lathe machines, familiar with remachining existing parts to spec, fabricating new parts from raw material, measuring and QCing parts. Candidates should be familiar with setting up and adjusting tolerance on machines, fitting and assembling parts, ensure parts are manufactured correctly (taking measurements/quality control) as well as operating more basic equipment such as drill presses, press brakes/shears, etc.
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience setting up and operating Manual Lathe and Milling machines
- Journeyman/Woman Ticket is preferred
- Ability to re-machine existing parts to correct tolerances or fabrication or new parts from raw material.
- Knowledge of QCing parts and measuring parts based off blueprints/shop drawings
