Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Campus Dean - Academic and the New York based Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences, the Assistant Professor and Associate Dean of Energy Management will:

Function as a strategic leader, a passionate advocate for sustainability, and an accomplished researcher and academic.

Responsible for fostering a culture that stresses inclusion, transparency and vision.

Lead the faculty in securing support for teaching, research, scholarship, and infrastructure.

Play a key role in fostering a faculty-wide culture that supports and strengthens the theory and practice of interdisciplinarity, excellence in research, teaching with innovative curricula, and fostering a reciprocally supportive relationship with community.
- Lead in developing, implementing and evaluating research and educational ventures.
- Ensures that the School is effectively represented regarding University planning and management processes.
This position will be expected to teach a number of courses per year depending upon student numbers. Duties of a faculty member include the following:

Teach one or more Energy Management graduate courses.

Prepare and deliver lectures to students and conduct laboratory sessions or discussion groups.

Prepare, administer and grade examinations, laboratory assignments and reports.

Advise students on course and academic matters and career decisions.

Direct research programs of graduate students and advise on research matters.

Conduct research in sustainability and energy Management and publish findings in scholarly journals or books.

May serve on faculty committees dealing with such matters as curriculum. planning and degree requirements.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Engineering or a related discipline is required with a scholarly track record of research in areas related to energy utilization, renewable energy generation, or energy efficiency.
- Experience in a senior role as an academic leader including an Associate Dean, a Chair of a department or as a Director of an Institute or Centre.
- Leadership experience in creating space for people who hold diverse perspectives and will actively lead local implementation of university strategies including Indigenous Engagement (ii' taapoh'to'p), Sustainability, Global Engagement.

Experience in teaching engineering or energy management courses at the graduate levels is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
This position is hybrid and requires a minimum of 3 days on campus.

Minimum Salary: CAD $105,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: CAD $110,000.00/Yr.
