1.0 FTE CONTINUING ASSIGNMENT
ALTERNATE EDUCATION, LEARNER SUPPORT, ONLINE EDUCATION, MATH, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES, ENGLISH, IEP CASE MANAGER
Effective: September 1, 2026
(and other courses as determined by the needs of the timetable)
The successful candidate will:
- Have university qualifications and/or successful teaching experience in teaching the above listed subject areas
- Have demonstrated qualifications and/or successful experience in working in an alternate school setting with students of various educational needs
- Have demonstrated success with students with behavioral and motivational challenges
- Be trained in Level B assessment
- Proven and strong background in learner support and IEP Case Management
- Have demonstrated ability to provide support for and offer online courses
- Have demonstrated and proven ability to accurately report student progress and enrollment requirements to ministry standards and auditing requirements
- Have demonstrated ability to coordinate with outside agencies and school administration
- Have strong problem-solving skills and show strong initiative to provide programing to all students
- Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion
- Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas
- Be able to work independently
- Have good interpersonal skills and a history of successful classroom management
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills and ability to work as a team member
- Have a strong working knowledge of the graduation program.
- Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team attend meetings as required
- Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison
- Have knowledge and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative assessment
- Have a commitment to the directions of the school as outlined in the School Improvement Plan
- Have experience in the use of technology in the classroom

SALARY: The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $66,538 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,500 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance (Effective July 1,
2026) .
