About the role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Finance Functional Architect with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP Financials to serve as a trusted advisor on large-scale finance transformation programs. This role will lead end-to-end functional architecture, guide clients through the full project lifecycle, and drive business outcomes through scalable, best-practice Oracle Financial solutions.
In this role you will
Lead end-to-end functional architecture for Oracle Cloud ERP Financials including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, and Consolidation
Design scalable Chart of Accounts (CoA), enterprise structures, and segment value sets aligned with reporting and compliance requirements
Define and document BRDs, FDDs, and SDDs for finance modules
Architect integrations between Oracle Financials and enterprise systems (HR, Procurement, CRM, Tax, Banking) using OIC and REST/SOAP APIs
Provide guidance on Oracle Financials best practices and lead configuration design decisions
Configure Oracle Cloud Financials modules and manage configuration workbooks and version control
Lead delivery across all phases: requirements, CRP, SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live support
Facilitate CRP and UAT workshops and obtain client signoffs
Define and manage data migration strategy including validation and reconciliation of financial data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of finance transformation initiatives
Support release management and hyper-care activities post deployment
Work Model: Remote with Milestone travel to Los Angeles, CA
What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of experience in Finance and/or ERP consulting with at least 5 years in Oracle Cloud Financials
Experience delivering a minimum of 3 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP implementations
Strong expertise in Oracle Financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Intercompany
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs
Knowledge of data migration tools including FBDI and ADFdi
Experience with reporting tools such as OTBI and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS)
Understanding of Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub (FAH), Advanced Collections, and Expense Management (preferred)
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
These will help you stand out
Experience with Revenue Management Cloud, Subscription Management, Risk Management Cloud, or AHCS/FAH
Professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Master’s degree or MBA
Strong leadership experience in large-scale transformation programs
Ability to drive process excellence and financial modernization initiatives

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $89,550–$120,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
