Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer (initially part-time hours with a strong change to become a full-time position) to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Incentives will be given for booking extra shifts with us.
Mileage will be compensated for travelling between sites.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
Duties
- Perform Cardiac ultrasound (ECG, Echo, etc) examinations on patients as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet established standards before presenting them to the physician.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and any relevant observations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to discuss findings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology related to sonography and imaging procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify abnormalities in ultrasound images.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining procedures clearly to patients and collaborating effectively with medical staff.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
