The Pharmacy Senior Advisor, Clinical Informatics is a Pharmacy professional with a dual reporting and responsibility structure to the Pharmacy Performance & Systems Integration and the PRAXIS portfolios. As a recognized Connect Care and Pharmacy technologies expert, a SACI applies clinical skill and experience, clinical information system knowledge and systems thinking to inform improvements to the medication components within Connect Care Ordering tools. SACIs work closely with multidisciplinary clinical and technical Clinical System Improvement (CSI) teams within the Digital Health governance structure. SACIs in these roles use their knowledge of clinical system design, health care delivery systems, evaluation and process improvement to develop and maintain medication record standards for Connect Care ordering tools in collaboration with other teams such as Pharmacy CPLs. As recognized clinical system improvement and pharmacy technology experts, SACIs apply high degrees of resourcefulness, insight and independent judgement to determine and represent the unique and complex issues associated with supporting both strategic and operational priorities. Working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, they have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with medication ordering tool build and functionality. Key Outputs for this role include, but are not exclusive to, the consultation on design, build, standards and governance of the following in Connect Care: Medication Records (ERX) and their functionality within, Order Sets & Panels Smart Sets Therapy Plans & Complex Therapy Plans Treatment Plans Preference Lists One Step Med Narrators Any additional ordering tools using medication records
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct provision of healthcare in a clinical role A minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital environment Advanced knowledge in the use of standard office tools and technologies, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to probe for information in order to fully understand the underlying clinical needs and technical options Demonstrated success in working with clinical teams to improve processes and outcomes Ability to work in a virtual team environment to build and maintain positive working relationships Demonstrated working knowledge of the Alberta health system and the business of pharmacy Strong time management and communication skills.
