This unique opportunity will have you working closely with our brilliant team to continually create and improve the tools we use to visualize data stories for our stakeholders and clients.
Your education and experiences will have prepared you to participate in and contribute to the following:
- Transform data narratives into engaging digital media assets.
- Integrate gameplay elements into RWI’s Synthetic Environments (textures, decorations, animations, audio, characters, objects, etc.).
- Test, analyze bugs and correct/adjust levels.
- Integrate feedback with designers, pilots and programmers.
- Propose solutions and improvements to the level design pipeline and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with news and trends in the digital storytelling and video game industry.
- Design and implement compelling stories within the Holodeck platform.
- Collaborate closely with modellers and project leads to understand critical messages.
- Create interactive and immersive experiences for audiences.
Outlining your skills in the following areas will catch our attention:
- Programming Knowledge: Creating and sharing Holodeck scripts and recipes that combine 2D, 3D, animation and data into stories in the RUNWITHIT Holodeck.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix issues within RWI's internal interactive systems.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing and integrating changes.
- Technology: Experience with VR/AR technologies; knowledge of user experience design principles.
- Data: Background in data visualization and analytics.
- Narrative Development: Strong ability to translate complex data to craft compelling narratives and integrate them seamlessly into the interactive experience.
- Creativity: Innovative thinking to develop unique and engaging content.
- Design: Strong graphic design, animation, and multimedia production skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying design concepts.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical and creative challenges.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to switch between technical tasks and creative story-telling.
