HOW THE OPPORTUNITY WORKS
This position does not begin with a pre-filled teaching schedule.
The successful teacher must have some potential students, community connections or interested families, or be prepared to recruit their first online students using the professional marketing content and materials provided.
Potential students may come from:
- Families who have already expressed interest in piano lessons
- Former students who have moved away
- In-person students interested in transitioning online
- Personal, professional or community connections
- Local social media and parent groups
- The teacher's existing social media audience
All families register and pay directly through the academy. The academy manages tuition, curriculum access, student records, policies and administration. The teacher is assigned to provide each student's weekly online lesson.
As the program grows and receives new private-lesson inquiries, additional students may be assigned based on availability, experience and suitability. The number and timing of future academy referrals cannot be guaranteed.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is based on how each student is enrolled:
- Teacher-recruited students: $120 per active student per month
- Academy-referred students: $100 per active student per month
Each monthly amount covers one weekly 30-minute online lesson following the academy teaching calendar, regardless of whether a month contains three, four or five scheduled lessons.
Over the teaching year, this averages approximately $60 per teaching hour for students recruited by the teacher and $50 per teaching hour for students referred by the academy.
Teaching schedules and monthly income depend on student enrollment. Teachers may begin with a small schedule and gradually add students according to their availability. Additional academy-referred students may be assigned over time but are not guaranteed.
