Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Glass Driver & Handler to join our team. This role involves safely transporting, handling, and installing glass products for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight handling, commercial driving, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on precision and safety. The position offers opportunities to work with specialized equipment and contribute to high-quality glass installation services.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for transporting glass materials to various job sites
- Load and unload glass using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling
- Assist with the installation and handling of large glass panels, ensuring proper placement and safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, including basic automotive repairs when necessary
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure timely delivery and installation schedules
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, inventory, and safety checks
- Follow all safety guidelines related to freight handling, heavy equipment operation, and driving regulations
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts, heavy machinery, and commercial trucks
- Strong background in freight handling and logistics within a construction or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance
- Prior experience working with glass or similar fragile materials is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
