Job description:
Diversified Staffing is currently seeking Experienced Flaggers to fill positions in Red Deer and the surrounding area. Flexible hours are offered with jobs in and around the Red Deer area. Free in-house training and certification available.
Duties as a flagger will include but are not limited to:
- Control traffic by slowing, stopping and/or directing
- Must be able to drive to site locations
- Paying close attention to surroundings and reacting to any potential hazards
- Communicating with motorists, supervisors, and coworkers
- Follow Health and Safety Acts and Alberta Traffic Laws
- Control the traffic moving through the work zone
Successful candidates for this position will possess the following qualities:
- Previous experience performing flagging/traffic control duties is an asset
- Good physical condition
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Can maneuver traffic control devices effectively
- Comfortable working on construction sites and potentially busy roads
- Ability to react quickly to potentially hazardous situations
- Ability to stand outside a varying weather condition
- Professional appearance at the work site
- A reliable vehicle is considered an asset for this role to get to various sites
- A sense of responsibility for the safety of the public, work crew and yourself
