We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Demolition & Abatement Estimator to join our team. This is a senior-level position for an experienced estimator who can independently manage the estimating process from bid invitation through tender submission. You will lead the estimation process for diverse construction projects, ensuring accurate pricing, thorough project analysis and competitive bids while identifying project risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Providing a professional service that gets recommended to others
· Developing estimates, identifying cost breakdowns, clarifications and job scope details.
· Review drawings, specifications, technical reports and scope of work.
· Prepare budgets, estimates and proposals.
· Understanding expenses related to labour, specialized equipment for testing, containment, disposal and clearance testing for abatement.
· Present solutions and pricing to clients.
· Follow up on quotes and negotiate project opportunities.
· Coordinate with Operations and Project Team during handover.
· Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, property managers, engineers and owners.
· Track opportunities and maintain organized project records.
· Monitoring project schedules, budgets and work progress.
· Ensure the project is in compliance with safety plans and abatement regulations.
· Working with clients and giving accurate quotes that match their needs.
· Setting and reviewing weekly and monthly goals and demonstrating the tenacity it takes to not only hit these goals but to surpass them.
- Candidates must have 3- 5 years of experience in Demolition & Abatement Estimating.
- Work closely with our Safety Officer to ensure all environmental and safety rules are followed such as WorkSafeBC and OSHA.
- Comfortable conducting site visits and able to identify and quantify hazardous materials and have meetings with clients.
Qualifications:
- Strong math skills and generally high precision with numbers is essential.
- Advanced level proficiency with software, including MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.). Must be confident with basic MS Excel functions/formulas.
- A valid BC driver's license and good driving record required - in order to travel to client locations throughout Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
- Must be fluent in English and have at least 1 year of work experience in Vancouver, BC. Candidates with no recent work experience in Greater Vancouver will not be considered.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability of work independently and manage multiple projects.
Pay: $80,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
