Position summary: Are you someone with high attention to detail, who has a knack for following breadcrumbs while seeking information and resolution? Someone who is self-driven, motivated, enthusiastic person with a positive can-do attitude and looking to join a fast-growing company in the consumer finance industry as a full-time permanent Skip tracer! As our in-house Skip Tracer, you will trace, manage customer accounts where previous attempts at locating/contacting have failed. The ideal candidate will also support the Collection, Recovery and Paralegal team with various key functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seek and gather relevant information, locate clients using various tools such as Can411, Review/Pull Credit Bureau Reports (TU/EQ), social media platforms, etc. for the Collection, Recovery and Paralegal teams
- Compile required documents
- Attend and contribute in monthly meetings with the department Director, assessing department needs while outlining progress while identifying areas of opportunity
- Expected volume, manage 100 - 125 files while supporting other areas of the business
- Perform detail account audits and cost analysis if/when needed
- Inbound/outbound environment (no tele-marketing; no auto-dialer)
- Customer service: update Client contact & account information
- Respond to client enquiries
- Providing superior professional service to valued clients
KNOWLEDGE, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous work experience in providing excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Previous financial collection experience is considered an asset, but not required.
- Approximately 1-3 years of experience in skip tracing and knowledge.
- Credit knowledge is considered an asset.
- You think "outside the box" and can decipher credit bureau reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and are fluent in English and French (preferred).
- Proficient on all social media platforms searches and open-source tools.
- Strong development of personal contacts within the industry for trace and investigative assistance.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and specifically Excel) and company software systems.
- Extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work in response to requests and inquiries.
- Ability to work independently and strong decision-making skills / problem solve based on sound judgement.
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills with ability to interact with peers, management, and other departments in a professional manner.
- Intermediate computer skills are required.
Education:
- · Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- · Skip tracing/Private Investigations (PI): 2-3 year (preferred) 1 year (required)
Work Schedule:
- ·8-hour shift- Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9-5 or 10-6
- Mostly Remote Position with occasional in office attendance

Salary Expectations/Compensation
- $50,000 – $55,000 annually + up to 10% bonus
