POSITION: Manager, Institutional Marketing
LOCATION: Toronto, ON (M5C 3G7)
We are currently seeking a Manager, Institutional Marketing to join our Institutional Sales team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to provide a wide range of marketing support to CI Institutional Asset Management (CIIAM). CIIAM has over $17 billion in assets, and offers a full suite of investment management solutions for institutional clients, including leading financial intermediaries, pension funds, First Nations, Endowments/Foundations and corporations.
CIIAM operates as a multi-boutique firm, providing clients with access to a range of portfolio management teams offering balanced, fixed income, direct real estate, domestic and global equity capabilities. Institutional clients have access to institutional mutual fund strategies, pooled fund strategies and segregated account management.
In addition, CIIAM has a dedicated team of institutional investment professionals focused on sales, superior client servicing and ensuring effective portfolio management.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work directly with VP of Institutional Marketing and Head of CI Institutional to build and execute short and long-term CIIAM marketing plans
Work closely with portfolio managers, and oversee quarterly reporting process
Liaise with portfolio management teams on developing compelling product pitches
Work effectively with cross-functional business units (compliance, creative, communications, etc.) to deliver sales and marketing materials
Proactively speak to the sales team and source ideas for improvements and changes to actively marketed products
Conduct competitive analysis and product positioning on live business development opportunities
Work with CI’s Salesforce (CRM) team to build effective reports that will provide meaningful insight and trends on product opportunities and team activity
Execute independent projects to enhance department efficiency as needed
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
At least 5 years of industry experience
Knowledge of regulatory and industry rules required
Financial services designations or candidates (e.g. CSC, CIM, CFA, CAIA and other CSI courses) required
Knowledge of financial software including Bloomberg PORT, eVestment Analytics, Morningstar Direct required
Experience organizing investment related material, both qualitative and quantitative
Strong written and verbal skills
Effective project and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to set and manage changing priorities in a multi-task, fast-paced environment
Professional and client-focused attitude; able to meet tight client deadlines.
