Business Analyst – Information and Records Management

We are looking for a Business Analystwho has expertise in Information and Records Management. You are an ideal candidate if you have experience planning and conducting discovery workshops, developing retention policies and file plan taxonomies, implementing records management programs and systems, and conducting records management training sessions. You must love working with customers; enjoy solving problems; and have a proven track record working with large organizations to solve theirelectronic and physicalrecords management needs.

You will be working in a virtual office, ideally located near our offices in Cambridge,MA or Vancouver,BC.

  • Provide records management expertise and consulting to customers as part of Collabware software implementation project engagements
  • Provide advice and guidanceto customers on retention policy and file plan development and implementation
  • Conducting discovery sessions with customers
  • Requirements gathering and analysis; business process analysis and design
  • Prepare and present conceptual solution design proposals
  • Conduct Collabwareproducttraining sessions
  • Learn Collabware product functionality and capabilities and provide functional configuration services for implementation projects
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation
  • Stay informed of advances in content/information management technologies and methods
  • Travel within North America expected up to 1 week per month

Key Skills

  • Facilitation, creative requirements gathering and documenting complex ideas
  • Information and Records Management expertise, preferably within the Microsoft SharePoint and 0365 ecosystem
  • Strong customer facing, presentation and written skills in English
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities under pressure and can handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Library Studiesor equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant working on projects related to information management or records management
  • Experience inInformation Architecture (IA) development;and application of retention and disposition to that IA
  • Must have hands on experience creating the functional configuration in ECM and/or records management software
