Registered Respiratory Therapist — Part-Time Pulmonary Function Testing
Respira Lung Clinic is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing outpatient pulmonary diagnostics team in North Edmonton.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for qualified respiratory therapists seeking part-time work focused on pulmonary diagnostics within a supportive clinical setting. Direct on site physician oversight and support is available. Responsibilities include performing pulmonary function testing, supporting patient preparation and safety, maintaining equipment and quality control standards, and contributing to a reliable, patient-centred diagnostic service.
Compensation: Starting at $46/hour, commensurate with PFT experience, independence, and role responsibilities.
Schedule: Part-time weekday daytime hours. Variable depending on schedule.
Duties
- Perform pulmonary function tests accurately and efficiently to assist in diagnosing respiratory conditions.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient responses during testing procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Assist with patient education regarding respiratory health, medication use, and treatment options.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe testing environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist performing Pulmonary function test preferred
- Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta
- Ability to perform without direct supervision
- Effective communication skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to respiratory therapy and diagnostics.
- Ability to operate specialized pulmonary function testing equipment with precision.
- Experience with medication administration related to respiratory treatments is advantageous.

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
