Position Title: Lodge Manager
Reports To: Lodge Operations Manager
Location: Bella Coola Heli Sports lodges, Remote (shift work)
Schedule: 15 days on, 6 days off (approximately), 11hrs/ a day
Terms: Seasonal Full-Time (December-April)
The Winter Lodge Manager is a member of the lodge leadership team and plays a key role in delivering the exceptional guest experience that defines the Bella Coola Heli Sports brand. This position provides direct leadership across all hospitality operations, including guest accommodations, food and beverage services, housekeeping, reception, and the coordination of all guest-facing lodge experiences. Working closely with both hospitality and mountain operations teams, the Lodge Manager ensures every aspect of a guest's stay is seamless, personalized, and executed to the highest standard.
This role combines operational leadership with hands-on hospitality. Responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing team, coordinating daily lodge operations, resolving challenges proactively, and ensuring clear communication across all departments. The Lodge Manager fosters a positive workplace culture while maintaining an unwavering focus on safety, service, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for upholding Bella Coola Heli Sports' luxury hospitality standards while maintaining efficient daily operations and supporting both guests and staff throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:
Lodge Operations & Guest Experience
- Act as the primary contact to ensure daily communication and teamwork across all departments.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence throughout the lodge, acting as a host and ambassador for the Bella Coola Heli Sports guest experience.
- Ensure exceptional hospitality standards are consistently delivered across accommodations, dining, housekeeping, and all guest-facing services.
- Oversee guest arrivals, departures, billing, and account reconciliation to ensure a seamless guest journey.
- Promote guest satisfaction, encourage return visits, and support guest rebooking initiatives.
- Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and pre-arrival information to relevant departments to ensure personalized service.
Food & Beverage Leadership
- Partner with Culinary leadership to ensure exceptional execution of all dining experiences.
- Oversee front-of-house dining operations, ensuring service is professional, efficient, and aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service consistency.
- Coach, mentor, and support the ongoing development of service team members.
- Financial & Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate guest billing, cash handling, and financial reporting.
- Maintain effective inventory controls across operational departments, including beverage program, retail, housekeeping, and lodge supplies.
Leadership, People & Safety
- Lead the performance management of seasonal hospitality employees.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture that reflects the values of Bella Coola Heli Sports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment standards, and operational procedures.
- Manage payroll submissions, tip distribution, and employee documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Champion workplace safety by participating in Occupational Health & Safety initiatives, incident reporting, and continuous improvement of safe work practices.
Operational Communication & Property Stewardship
- Facilitate effective communication by participating in daily operational meetings and contributing to coordinated decision-making across departments.
- Distribute operational reports, guest feedback summaries, daily checklists, and other required documentation.
- Ensure the lodge, facilities, and surrounding property are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, safety, and presentation.
- Protect company assets by supporting preventative maintenance, reporting deficiencies, and coordinating operational priorities with the maintenance team.
- Participate in post-season reviews and operational debriefs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 3yr+ experience in a hospitality managerial or supervisor position (F&B, housekeeping, concierge or similar)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Trustworthy, self-directed, and team-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Gmail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Class 4 Driver's license required
- Ability to work away from home and work long hours on your feet
- Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience in the remote lodge industry preferred
