Green Storage, Canada’s leader in eco-friendly self-storage, is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Associate to support their new commercial/mixed-use location opening in Scarborough. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in fixing things, and love being part of a supportive team, this role might be your perfect fit. Every day is different, and that keeps it fun!
What You’ll Do
Cleaning & Janitorial
- Support with keeping hallways, common areas, storage doors and high-touch surfaces sparkling clean
- Restock and tidy washrooms
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and clean windows
- Maintain outdoor grounds, walkways, and overall curb appeal
Maintenance & Repairs
- Change HVAC filters
- Clean eavestroughs and downspouts annually
- Repair and adjust doors, latches, and unit hardware
- Replace lights and troubleshoot minor electrical issues
- Patch, paint, and complete light carpentry
- Support seasonal tasks (snow clearing, outdoor upkeep)
- Jump into ad-hoc repairs—the more skills you bring, the better!
- Spot issues early and help prevent them from becoming big problems
Task & Workflow Management
- Use our digital task management system to open and close work orders
- Keep clear, detailed notes (future you and the team will thank you!)
- Prioritize tasks across multiple sites with confidence
- Stay observant and proactive. We love team members who notice the “little things” before they become big things
Teamwork & Culture
- Work closely with site managers and team members
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, collaborative environment
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and with a great attitude!
- What We’re Looking For
- Strong time management and task prioritization
- Reliable, observant, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using mobile apps and technology
- Enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving
- Physically capable of maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Valid G driver’s licence & reliable vehicle
- WHMIS & Working at Heights certifications
