Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Sheet Metal Worker to join our skilled team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure the efficient delivery of quality ductwork, ventilation systems, and related components, supporting our mission to provide reliable and professional service to homeowners.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations.
- Install ductwork, ventilation systems, and related sheet metal components in residential buildings.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing sheet metal systems, including restoration projects.
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure airtight and weatherproof installations.
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts.
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for secure joints or custom fabrications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with hand tools, construction materials, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Construction experience with a focus on residential projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, welding, construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and caulking.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred.
