The Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team by ensuring smooth service, maintaining cleanliness, assisting servers, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role is essential in helping the restaurant operate efficiently during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist servers with food and beverage delivery to guests.
- Set up and reset tables quickly and accurately.
- Clear and clean tables during and after service.
- Refill water glasses and assist with guest requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and washrooms.
- Polish cutlery, glassware, and plates as required.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Support the team during busy service periods.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
