Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting various accounting functions using a range of accounting software. Duties
- Prepare maintain and analyze financial statements reports budgets and cash flow projections
- Manage full cycle accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable bank reconciliations payroll and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for management review
- Monitor financial transactions operating expenses and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities
- Prepare and review tax related documentation including payroll remittances and supporting records
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with financial analysis variance analysis and operational reporting
- Coordinate with external accountants auditors financial institutions and service providers regarding accounting and reporting matters
- Support internal controls audit preparation and compliance related activities
- Use accounting software and financial systems to maintain accurate records and generate financial reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or college diploma in accounting finance business administration or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting bookkeeping financial reporting or related financial operations
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures reconciliations financial reporting and compliance practices
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Sage Xero Microsoft D365 or similar accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced professional environment
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification
This position is integral to maintaining the organization’s financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
Pay: $41.50 per hour
