Job Duties
- Build loads in LG transportation management system (TMS)
- Verify that loads are consolidated and entire utilization of trailer.
- Consolidate loads by geographical region and carrier to minimize transportation costs.
- Tender loads to carrier and warehouse
- First point of contact for load tender issues and concerns.
- Reply to emails in group email in a timely manner.
- Review daily reports for opportunity to consolidate.
- Provide administrative support in completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- Communicate and escalate any carrier issues to the Manager.
- Additional tasks may be assigned if required.
Job Requirements
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience in a third-party logistics environment preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a resourceful self-starter
- Strong team player with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Working Hours: This position requires working from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST
