Why is this role important?
The LMS Specialist is responsible for supporting and administering testing to potential new Learning Management Systems for CIHI to ensure it meets business requirements and supports the delivery of education courses to over 15,000 users. This role involves coordinating LMS testing, managing data imports, and collaborating with IT, CRM teams, and vendors to test system functionality. This role involves supporting the evaluation team by participating in LMS reviews, establishing and completing test cases, documenting testing outcomes and providing comparative analysis of the systems considered.
What you'll do
1. Responsible for the operation, configuration, testing, of potential CIHI LMS.
2. Responsible for the completion and documentation of test cases for the LMS systems under consideration.
3. Evaluate testing feedback, document results and recommendations,
4. Collaborate with CRM, IT&S teams, and LMS vendors to test potential LMS functionality.
5. Develop test plans and coordinate testing of new LMS features prior to production deployment.
6. Manage the import of education data from staging databases into potential LMS.
7. Develop system documentation, and configurations for implementation project.
What you'll bring to the table
- Undergraduate degree in Database Administration, Computer Science, Web Development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 3-5 years relevant experience supporting business applications.
- Experience with client relationship management applications and learning technologies.
- Understanding of relational databases and experience with MS SQL.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as X/HTML, CSS, and Web Services.
- Familiarity with LMS features and functionality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze needs and recommend solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize meeting deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.
