Pacific Land Group (PLG) is actively growing and has an immediate opportunity for a budding junior environmental professional. We are looking for someone who is a self-motivated and enthusiastic problem solver, who is keen to learn new techniques related to environmental permitting, erosion and sediment control monitoring, biological field studies, habitat assessment, construction monitoring/restoration monitoring and wildlife assessments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
As an Environmental Technician/Junior Environmental Professional, your role is expected to include, but not be limited to, the following:
· Assisting in on-site environmental assessments
· Environmental Monitoring of construction activities
· Assisting with the preparation of environmental monitoring reports
· Participating in field studies, under the supervision of a senior biologist
· Preparing technical reports
· Working on remediation plan designs, execution and long-term monitoring
· Erosion and sediment control monitoring and servicing of water quality treatment systems
· Preparing regulatory submission packages
· Executing development permit packages
· Preparing wildlife collection permits
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, we expect the following qualifications and attributes will be necessary:
· A bachelors degree in relevant science, or a Technical Diploma from a recognized institution that reflects the above duties.
· At least 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in BC.
· Strong organizational skills and work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to perform field work in a variety of different conditions and elements.
· Membership with the College of Applied Biology would be considered an asset.
