RGO Products – Edmonton Office is searching for a Commercial Sales Assistant, Window Coverings which is the key point of contact for commercial customers. Would word collaboratively with the Manager – Window Coverings and other key contributors. The incumbent in this role assists in all stages of the sale and project management of commercial window coverings projects.
Quotes and Tenders
Complete accurate take-offs from architectural drawings including number of windows, and the size and shape of each window.
Send samples to customers as requested by Sales Rep./Technical Lead.
Manage Tender Board – Manage all incoming tenders & addendums; track all significant dates and ensure tender is submitted on time.
Qualify customers, set up accounts and collect credit applications as required.
Review specification packages to determine what product has been selected and what other requirements must be provided such as submission of alternates or substitutions.
Liaise with suppliers to order samples, request price to finalize quotes.
Determine labour costs from measure to installation.
Liaise with Sales Rep. to determine mark-up accordance with the project criteria, considering size, end user and market.
Prepare quotes or tenders for approval from Commercial Sales Rep/Project Manager, and Technical Lead/Project Manager.
Complete all necessary paperwork as a part of the tender process
Upon receipt of contract or purchase order from Commercial Sales Rep/Project Manager, and Technical Lead/Project Manager, initiate all aspects of project coordination.
Proactively obtain missing/necessary information in a timely manner to order and schedule all projects; Communicate with Installation team to schedule & confirm installation of product.
Safety Documentation for Customer’s & General Contractors
Coordinate information for shop drawing production; ensure shop drawings are submitted to the GC for approval.
Solicit Technical Lead regarding AutoCAD requirements for Window Coverings department and request sign-offs as required.
Set up and input order in Hedberg; convert quote to order. Execute product orders with an exceptional level of accuracy.
Preparation of the Installer’s Package
O & M/Warranty
Proactively resolve problems
Invoice & customer collections
Follow up on service work completion & warranty documentation.
Execute all required corrective actions to complete the project.
Manage project costs and all aspects of contract management: setting up file, scheduling measures/installation, coordinating products orders and ensuring all relevant information in Hedberg and scheduling software is up to date.
Answer incoming calls to the department
Maintain accurate and up to date records & contracts.
Assist with updating Salesforce CRM software as required
Participate in in-house product training and be familiar with new products.
