Job Title: Lead Carpenter/Foreman (Contract Position)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter/Foreperson to oversee and lead construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction management, with a focus on delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction projects, ensuring goals are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Produce work that results in an exceptional client experience.
- Install interior and exterior finishes, including drywall, trim, doors, and fixtures.
- Build and install cabinets, counters, and other custom projects.
- Perform carpentry tasks with the highest quality of craftsmanship within the allotted time.
- Stay informed of the entire project scope, including revisions, change orders, and schedule changes.
- Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule.
- Provide clear direction to team members to ensure project targets are achieved.
- Attend and provide input at project meetings, ensuring information is communicated to the team.
- Assess target production goals and establish a team workflow to achieve them.
- Support staff through coaching and team huddles.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian Building codes and industry safety standards.
- Efficiently and safely use relevant tools and equipment needed for project assemblies.
- Support and maintain healthy, happy work environments and corporate culture.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites.
Requirements:
- Skilled Carpenter with experience managing construction teams.
- Red Seal certificate as a Carpenter is an asset.
- A valid Journeyperson ticket is an asset.
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015 certification.
- Fall Protection (OSSA Preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Understanding of construction phases and workflow.
- Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing.
- Experience working with project management software is an asset

Pay: $28.51-$42.50 per hour
