Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for overnight care shifts. This role involves providing essential support to individuals with varying needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or patients requiring hospice or home care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during overnight hours
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care when necessary
- Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Support clients with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and assistive device use
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home caregiving is highly preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those suffering from dementia is advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working overnight shifts
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
