THE POSITION: Reporting to the Member Advise Supervisor, this position will be responsible to provide retail financial services and information to all members and potential members. As a MAC MA and front line MA you will be an Innovation Credit Union ambassador; a personable, sales-orientated individual who is comfortable providing demonstrations and educating individuals on Innovation products, services and technology. You will be traveling to events through-out the province where you will drive awareness of Innovation Credit Union through friendly, positive and informative interactions with members and potential members.

Areas of responsibility include:
  • Create awareness of Innovation Credit Union through representation at regional events
  • Conduct demonstrations of Innovation Credit Union products, services and technology
  • Educate members and potential members on Innovation products and service benefits, anticipate and overcome objections using creative problem solving
  • Analyze member needs and assist members to utilize the products, services and technology that best meet their needs
  • Foster business development through service excellence and product/technology knowledge
  • When not on the road at events, provide support to the InnContact Centre and other regional advice centres performing general financial and liaison functions including;
  • Utilizing on-line terminals process member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange, telephone transfers, cheque cashing, electronic funds transfers, and automated cash machines
  • Process members requests and financial transactions including account opening and small lines of credit
  • Process external inquiries
  • Respond to and resolve member inquiries and complaints using professionalism and good judgment
  • Conduct telemarketing campaigns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products and services by regularly reviewing literature and attending product update meetings

Some of the Skills and Abilities we would prefer to see in your application:
  • Minimum of one year of related post-secondary education plus 3 to 5 years job related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Refined relationship building skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Outgoing, comfortable with approaching people
  • Experience presenting in front of groups
  • Comfortable using and demonstrating technology (online and mobile banking), technology troubleshooting and a proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proven results in strong sales and service skills along with refined relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual professional development
  • Completion of the following courses would be considered an asset: Credit Union Products and Services, Credit Union System, Introduction to Financial Planning, Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending Course
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel to various events/locations with the MAC team
Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Innovation Credit Union offers a comprehensive employee benefits package including a 7% company matched pension plan. An attractive variable incentive program is also available.

Salary Range: $19.10 - $23.88 hourly
