As a Youth Services Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee several therapeutic youth programs for at-risk youth with mental health, behavioural challenges, and/or substance use. You will provide support and leadership to the Program Supervisors and staff. You will own the overall supervision, development, and administration of the programs, including staff recruitment and orientation, community networking with referring agencies, attend agency supervisory meetings, monitor all reporting and statistics, and complete annual reports. The Program Manager ensures that program outcomes, according to the written service contracts, are achieved. The Program Manager will monitor the resources required to fulfill agency and program commitments.

The schedule is 40 hours/week, hours are flexible, based on the needs of Supervisors, staff, and community case management needs. It may also include joining the Weekend On-Call rotation.

Qualifications:
Education: MSW plus 5 years experience, including 2 years supervision experience, or BSW plus 7 years experience, including 3 years supervision experience, or College Diploma plus 9 years experience, including 5 years supervision experience
Demonstrated experience with youth services, child development, behavior management, family systems, service planning, life skills development, mediation, counselling, and community networking
Demonstrated experience with supervision, program management and development
Demonstrated experience with staff recruitment, hiring, training, and team-building
Experience liaising with community resources and multi-disciplinary professionals
Clear, direct and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
Valid B.C. Driver’s License
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
Current CPR/First Aid training (or be willing to complete training we provide)
Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or MANDT training (or be willing to complete training we provide)
Must be available to work weekends and evenings when required
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or approved exemption or accommodation from the Provincial Health Authority)

Human Relations Management

Align staff team and supervisors with program vision and expectations in reference to case assignment, case file management, reporting, discharge and transition, and follow-up procedures
Identify staffing needs and strategize to build capacity
Develop staff and support their growth in their roles and within the Agency
Manage and resolve conflict
Provide effective feedback

Open Systems Management

Manage community relationships and problem solve with a proactive approach
Identifies new opportunities and implement directives that support program area growth
Communicate vision and values to stakeholders

Internal Process Management

Measure and highlight program performance monthly, quarterly and annually
Analyze data and make appropriate program recommendations
Support and implement new projects
Ensure each program maintains and meets contractual expectations

Rational Goal Management

Provide service/treatment direction and overview service planning within each program area
Provide crisis management support as required
Manage financial resources

Salary: $4,600-$5,000/month plus full benefits
