Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Catholic priest to serve the parish in Hay River. The successful candidate will lead religious services, administer sacraments, provide spiritual guidance, and support parishioners through life’s challenges. This role also includes community outreach and interfaith engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Celebrate Mass and lead regular services
- Administer sacraments (Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Funerals)
- Offer spiritual counselling and pastoral care
- Conduct Bible studies, catechism classes, and retreats
- Visit homes, hospitals, and elders
- Organize outreach programs and interfaith activities
Requirements:
- Ordination as a Catholic priest
- Philosophical and Theological Degrees and pastoral experience
- Minimum one year of experience in priestly ministry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to live and serve in a remote northern community
Pay: $3,986.06 per month
