Mandate
The Marketing and Communications Specialist plans, develops, and delivers integrated marketing and communications initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and student recruitment outcomes of the Faculty of Health. Working within a centralized faculty model, this role applies an integrated marketing and communications (IMC) approach to support consistent, audience-focused messaging and storytelling across multiple academic units.
The position contributes to faculty-wide priorities by leading the development of content, executing recruitment marketing initiatives, and coordinating outreach and events that strengthen engagement with prospective students, partners, and the broader community. The role works collaboratively with Faculty units and central university partners to ensure alignment with institutional strategies, brand standards, and best practices.
Objectives
- Plan and deliver integrated marketing and communications initiatives that directly support faculty enrolment, visibility, and reputation objectives
- Lead the development and execution of high-quality, audience-focused content and storytelling across digital and print channels
- Execute and optimize recruitment marketing campaigns, including digital advertising and conversion-focused initiatives
- Plan, promote, and coordinate Faculty-level events and outreach activities that support student recruitment, engagement, and community presence
- Provide informed marketing and communications advice to faculty units to support strategic alignment, message clarity, and brand consistency
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing and communications performance using analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
Working conditions may include occasional evening and weekend work and travel to support events and outreach activities, including moving event supplies up to 10kgs.
