We provide self-serve laundry, wash and fold services, dry cleaning, commercial laundry, and pickup and delivery services. At The Laundry Guys, you'll have the opportunity to work with professional sewing equipment in a clean, welcoming environment while helping us establish a trusted reputation for quality alterations in Kamloops.
In This Role, You Will
- Measure garments and consult with customers to determine alteration and repair needs.
- Perform a wide variety of clothing alterations and repairs, including hems, zippers, seam repairs, buttons, patches, garment resizing, and custom alterations.
- Work with a variety of garments and fabrics, including everyday clothing, formalwear, and specialty pieces.
- Operate professional sewing and alteration equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by recommending alteration options and providing accurate timelines.
- Accept alteration, dry cleaning, and wash and fold orders.
- Assist customers with questions, transactions, and general inquiries.
- Support the team with light operational duties during quieter periods.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum two years of professional alteration, tailoring, or seamstress experience.
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics and garment styles.
- Confidence working independently while managing multiple projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, organized, and professional.
- Retail or customer service experience is considered an asset.
