Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Chef to join our commissary kitchen team. This kitchen produces food for our restaurant locations and prepares hot, ready-to-serve catering orders. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume production environment, maintains strong attention to detail, and is committed to consistency and quality.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with standardized recipes and production schedules
- Execute high-volume food production for multiple restaurant locations
- Prepare and package hot, ready-to-serve catering orders accurately and on time
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation across all products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members and supervisors to meet daily needs
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or issues to management
- Support kitchen operations, including receiving deliveries and stock rotation (FIFO)
Skills
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, commissary, or high-volume production environment preferred
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines with precision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Working with a positive and caring attitude in a team setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
