School District No. 38 (Richmond) requires on-call casual Food Services Aides. This position provides food services and instructional assistance in the preparation of meals within our two teaching cafeterias. The Food Services Aide assists in the instruction and supervision of secondary school students in the preparation, safe handling and correct storage of food. Incumbents also demonstrate the safe and proper use of kitchen equipment and appliances, therefore excellent communication, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Required qualifications include: Grade 12 plus a recognized food preparation program and one (1) year experience in food preparation. Thorough knowledge of methods, procedures and equipment used in food handling and preparation in a teaching cafeteria is required.

The rate of pay is $24.14 per hour plus a percentage in lieu of benefits.

This is an on-call position and would suit someone who works nights. The shifts are Monday-Friday, during the day.
