Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to an individual who is confined to an electric wheelchair. HCA certificate required with mobility lift transfer experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving/Companion Care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for an individual with Muscular Dystrophy ensuring his safety, comfort, and dignity. This home is non smoking and a NON perfume zone. We have a small dog. I am looking for candidates who live close to Cranston and area.
Duties
- Get him out of bed by using a ceiling lift and sling, commode use, bathed, get him dressed, groomed, and personal care
- Assist with meal preparation and help him eat
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client for any change in health status.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living space.
- Assist with mobility and transfers with ceiling lift and sling
- Support client confined to Electric Wheelchair with his daily care needs
- Document daily activities and report any significant changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving IS required, HCA certified and Criminal Check required
- Knowledge of patient care practices and familiarity with working with people with disabilities is essential.
- Strong communication skills with fluent English and the ability to work effectively with client
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others and energetic
- Fit and ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving,
- Basic First Aid is a plus
- Full time Day position Mon to Fri 9am to 4:30
- Part time position, evenings 8 pm to 10pm and weekend morning shifts 9 am to 11am also available, join our team of dedicated caregivers who make a difference in the lives of those we serve every day!

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
