Position Description:
The Senior Project Controller (PCO) supports project managers, portfolio directors, VPs, Directors and Managers in delivering important infrastructure, solution or process improvement projects for the CIO. The member will also support the CIO primes to provide on-going support. The member will be involved in putting in place the methods, processes and tools for effective project portfolio management and organizational performance.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Support CIO primes in their daily duties
- Update and monitor various CIO dashboards and registries
- Obtain and store approvals for business cases/Project Change Requests in Sharepoint site
- Request creation of Project Sharepoint/Ensemble sites for PMs
- Assist with project review, project prioritization and monthly financial review meetings
- Document, Distribute and Track minutes/action items
- Assist with preparation of approval meetings for business cases and CRs
- Update CIO Service Catalog
- Manage CIO PSA codes (PSA Code creation, end date changes, Contact Changes, closure, etc)
- Assist CIO primes with creation of purchase requisitions and maintenance renewals
- Prepare input files for annual budget build, and various audits
- Contribute and participate in improvement initiatives, including providing suggestions for improvement
- Participate actively in the implementation of Project Management methods, tools and processes based on CGI frameworks and market best practices
- Ensure compliance with standards and procedures by the project team
- Keep up to date control measures (KPIs) and perform analysis to keep projects on track, create statistics for projects and purchase requisitions
- Participate in the preparation and development of various executive reporting
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- PMI Certification or Experience with Project Management Framework
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology or as PCO (projects)
- Ability to create basic Excel formulas, Pivot tables and graphs
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with CGI internal systems (PSA, e-proc, Intellx, MWS, Sharepoint/Ensemble) is an asset
- Dynamic, pro-active, rigorous
- Works independently; Takes accountability for assigned tasks and is open minded for process evolution
- Ability to identify problematic situations or issues; Understands sense of urgency
- Analytical thinking, detailed oriented
- Proficiency in French/English language (written and spoken) is required
- Experience working with a global team, whose members come from different cultural backgrounds, is an asset
