Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and financial management, with the ability to oversee various accounting functions efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries
- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Monitor and enforce internal controls and accounting procedures
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare working papers for external accountants and auditors
- Support compliance with regulatory and tax reporting requirements
- Review and improve existing accounting processes and workflows

Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation (or working toward completion) preferred
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and internal controls
- Experience in a multi-entity or high-volume environment considered an asset
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
