Role Summary
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and social-emotional growth. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum while maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom for children aged [Age Range, e.g., 30 months to 5 years].
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design and lead engaging, play-based activities (storytelling, art, music, and outdoor exploration).
- Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, including during transitions, meal times, and outdoor play.
- Observation & Documentation: Track developmental milestones and maintain individual progress reports to share with parents and management.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open, professional, and friendly communication with families regarding their child’s daily experiences and growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that meets all health and safety licensing regulations.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with a team of educators to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Valid ECE License/Certificate from BC.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Certifications: Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and remain active throughout the day.
