Internships are one year in length and will start as soon as possible. All applicants must meet the following internship program eligibility requirements. Candidates must be recent graduates (within 3 years) from an accredited college or university, legally entitled to work in Canada, not previous participants in an internship program and the internship must represent a first-time employment opportunity in their field of study. All positions require exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
The Business Analyst intern will identify, document, and analyze current business practices at Science North as they relate to grant reporting and processing and in turn work with members of the finance team to improve our practices. Furthermore they will undertake in depth analytics on those processes and assist in making recommendations that will allow us to provide greater value and accountability to our funders, leading to stronger stakeholder relationships. The intern will also work with the Manager of Grant Programs to assist with writing, researching and reporting related to funding proposals. The successful candidate will have a business, accounting, or finance background, strong verbal and written communication skills, superior numerical, analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
