Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Property Manager to oversee our residential and commercial property portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of property management operations. This role involves managing tenant relations, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of properties to maximize value and tenant satisfaction. The Senior Property Manager will also be responsible for implementing best practices in property administration, leveraging technology, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple properties, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Manage tenant relations, including lease negotiations, renewals, and resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs through vendors or in-house teams, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi to track leasing activities, rent collections, and financial reporting
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and expense tracking to optimize property performance
- Lead leasing efforts by marketing available units, conducting showings, and closing lease agreements
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing systems, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
- Develop and implement administrative procedures to streamline operations and improve customer service
- Foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal teams through effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and coordinate emergency response procedures when necessary
Skills
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software is essential
- Strong office experience with administrative skills including data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
- Proven experience in property management, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations
- Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor contracts
- Ability to manage customer relationships effectively using CRM tools
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and scheduling
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
- Prior experience in sales within the real estate or property management sector is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
