Oasis Landscape Group is hiring Landscape Construction Technicians for our Design-Build division — people at every level, whether you're new to landscaping or already running work.
We build patios, retaining walls, fences, decks, and complete outdoor living spaces across Calgary. The work is physical, outdoors, and fast-paced in peak season. We start early, we work hard, and we expect people to stand behind what they build.
Oasis isn't perfect — no company is. But we work at it, and we'd rather name a problem and fix it than pretend it isn't there.
What You’ll Build
This role sits in our Design-Build division. Day to day, you'll:
- Install patios and paving stone
- Build retaining walls
- Build fences and outdoor structures
- Complete grading and base preparation
- Assist with excavation and site development
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Keep jobsites clean and organized
- Work with your crew to deliver finished projects that hold up

Pay & Growth
$24–$32+ per hour.
That band covers our Level 1 and Level 2 technicians as well as junior crew leads. Where you land depends on previous experience, observed work ethic, and demonstrated skill — not just what's on the résumé.
To be clear about the top of the range: at $32 you're working as a junior leader and you're the second-most experienced or skilled person on the crew. That has to be proven on our sites. "I was a crew lead before" isn't the same thing, and we'd rather be upfront about that than have you wonder why you started lower.

Year-Round Work
Design-Build is the main season. Through winter, Oasis operates a large property maintenance and snow removal division, and technicians who want to keep working can transition into winter snow operations.
We also use the SUB (Supplemental Unemployment Benefit) program through the winter, which helps guarantee income stability for eligible employees during slower periods. For a lot of our team, that's the difference between steady year-round earnings and scrambling for winter work somewhere else.
The Practical Details
- Hours: Around 50/week in peak season, Monday to Friday. Most Saturdays off — the occasional one comes up. We mean it about work-life balance.
- Driver's licence and a reliable vehicle are required. A clean abstract is only required if you'll be driving for Oasis.
- You bring: boots, gloves, and clothing for the weather. Everything else is provided.

Team Events
We run quarterly team events — part business update, part actually having a good time. They're relaxed, not forced work functions. In 2025 we took the team to Speeders, LaunchPad, and PowerPlay, ran a camping trip, and hosted a handful of outdoor BBQs.
