Selkirk Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated and compassionate team.
Our team includes 7 Veterinarians, experienced Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVTs), and a supportive group of staff who are passionate about animal care. As an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital, we provide top-tier care to cats, dogs, and exotic pets 7 days a week. We also meet our clients where they are by offering a spectrum of care approach. Our Fear Free Certified team specializes in low-stress handling to ensure every pet—and every person—feels safe, respected, and welcome.

Your Role Will Include:
- Creating a warm, professional environment for clients and patients
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in/out
- Issuing invoices and accurately processing payments
- Responding promptly to emails and messages
- Assisting retail customers and sharing product knowledge
- Liaising between clients and medical team
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in customer service, front office reception, or veterinary reception (preferred)
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a busy environment
- Comfort working with computers, and capacity of learning a range of veterinary and administrative software
- A calm, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- A positive, team-focused attitude that contributes to our supportive and respectful workplace culture.
- A passion for animals and a desire to make a difference in their care
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends, as necessary.
