Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. The Service Plumber will work closely with clients and team members to ensure high-quality service delivery while adhering to safety standards and building codes.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in various settings
- Diagnose plumbing issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for installation or repairs
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repair work
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues before failure occurs
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians or carpenters when necessary for integrated building projects
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each service call
- Adhere to safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing services with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Construction experience is highly desirable, especially involving carpentry or HVAC systems
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments
- Prior experience working with commercial or industrial plumbing systems is a plus
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving may be required depending on job assignments
