Description
Northern Workwear Ltd is seeking to employ an experienced part-time bookkeeper.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all financial records of the company. This position requires the candidate to be an independent worker who is self-motivated and is comfortable managing multiple entities.

- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Sage Accounting Software
- Record company financial transactions
- Process and maintain payroll records
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring payments and invoices are accurately tracked and processed
- Follow up with accounts when invoices are past their due dates
- Complete monthly bank reports
- Perform other duties as directed

- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Sage Accounting Software.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, verifying invoices and payments.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to match company records with bank statements, identifying discrepancies promptly.
- Record company financial transactions
- Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting in financial forecasting activities.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate bank and account reconciliations.
- Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and related compliance standards.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and prepare clear reports for management review.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
- Generate the report in order to pay Payroll Tax and HST
Qualifications
- A strong proficiencywith Sage Accounting Software (Cloud Version)
- A minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in running payroll
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with care
- Can work confidently with minimal supervision
- Proven experience with accounting software Sage is essential
This is an in-person position located in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
Job type: Full Time/Part Time 2 days a week
Pay: $25.00/hour with a review in 120 days
