THE POSITION
ATTA Elevators is seeking a qualified individual to join our corporate team, who will be located out of the Calgary office. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Business Services. The HR Generalist’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the human resource department’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Organize and manage daily administrative operations relating to the complete cycle of Human Resources
- Recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, company policies, procedures, benefit plans, training & development, performance assessments
- Manage and maintain the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) – BambooHR, Citation Canada, and SharePoint Site
- Administer benefit plans
- Assist with administrative tasks within other areas of the business shared services: Safety, Procurement, Fleet, IT, Marketing, Operations
- Assist with preparing, editing and proofreading correspondence, presentations, brochures, publications, reports, and other business documents relating to the various shared service departments
- Assist with standardizing processes across the company
- Identify process and operation improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures and labour regulations
- Maintain and organize departmental files, records, and documentation
- Compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities
- Assist in organizing conferences, meetings, and social events as required
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external customers for HR-related topics
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a highly-skilled Human Resources Generalist
- Strong understanding of human resources, business management, and financial principles
- Good knowledge of employment/labour laws, and a unionized environment
- Outstanding organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem-solving
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
- Creative and able to think outside the box
- Extreme high attention to detail
- High proficiency in MS365 applications and various software/systems – including but not limited to Liftkeeper, BambooHR, Citation/HR Downloads, Business Central Dynamics 365
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
