PhD in Psychology (Will consider candidates in supervised practice provided that their oral registration exam is scheduled)
Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
Knowledge of and experience working with rehabilitation and complex continuing care, motor vehicle accidents and amputee populations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
Knowledge of behaviour analytic principles preferred
Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
An employee’s disciplinary record will be reviewed as part of the assessment of qualifications
Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the centre’s core values and helps patients get their life back
Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors
Provide patient and family counseling and education.
Provide clinical assessments and develop recommendations.
Provide information to staff to support patient care.
Participate in program development and evaluation activities.
Provide timely and relevant clinical documentation.
Participate in advances of practice for the profession.
Pursue continuous professional development.
