Qualification/Requirements:
Who’s a good fit for the team:
- 1-2 years Experience (Preferred)
- Great teamwork and excellent communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and competent
- Ability to follow proper procedures and instructions
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid Traffic Control Person certificate
- WHMIS & Worker Health and Safety Awareness in Four Steps
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Valid G Licence (required to drive a pickup Truck)
Note: Applicants living in Ottawa only or within 35-40 km of Ottawa, Ontario
PPE:
- Safety boots
- Hard hat (can be obtained from the employer)
- Reflector vest (can be obtained from employer)
- Safety goggles (can be obtained from the employer)
Responsibilities:
- Directing motorists, pedestrians, and workers to safe routes around road construction sites.
- Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
- Assist in accessing and exiting worksites and directing
- Assist with the set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades, including daily barricade reports
- Other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.75-$24.00 per hour
