SCHEDULE/HRS:
Monday to Friday 13:30-21:00 // 37.5 hours per week
- Shift times and hours may vary slightly as this position is subject to funding.
(min. 30 to max. 37.5 hours per week)
HOURLY WAGE:
$22.66 as per the collective agreement
THE ROLE:
This position involves recreational programming, instruction, and assisting with activities of daily living. It involves representing the Association by participating in community events.
- This position is subject to funding by the Canada Summer Jobs. Position is conditional based on the approval of the application request by Service Canada.
Requirements/Education/Experience:
- Experience in assisting individuals in all aspects of daily living (total personal care, feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.)

Knowledge of and ability to work with challenging behaviours

Knowledge of and ability to deal effectively with behaviours associated with mental health, an asset

Post-secondary education or training in a related field

Must be between the ages of 19-30 at intake time, not hold another full-time (30 or more hours) summer job

Minimum one year of direct experience with people with developmental disabilities

Training in behaviour management techniques
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Medical Clearance

Valid First Aid/CPR

TB Test Clearance

Demonstrated competency in English
- Basic computer literacy

Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold Refugee status
