Building Envelope Engineer-Project Manager
Job description
We’re seeking a candidate with a unique combination of a STEM background and an entrepreneurial spirit to expand our building envelope restoration division. Using your knowledge of building science, you will work as a Project Manager and Estimator, providing solutions to clients and growing your income at the same time.
WE will provide extensive training in creating estimates, preparing bids for building maintenance related projects and leading a team of professionals to successfully complete those projects.

Responsibilities
- Providing a professional service that gets recommended to others
- Developing estimates, identifying cost breakdowns, clarifications and job scope details
- Monitoring project schedules, budgets and work progress
- Leading a strong effective team that recognizes the vision of our company and respects your leadership
- Ensuring the project is in compliance with safety plans and regulations
- Independently driving production while problem solving any unique challenges that may arise
- Working with clients and giving accurate quotes that match their needs
- Maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders
- Setting and reviewing weekly and monthly goals and demonstrating the tenacity it takes to not only hit these goals but to surpass them

Requirements
Education in building science or related fields and/or extensive work experience in construction is required, including one or more of the following:
- Education in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Science, etc. Examples include: B. Eng, BS, BA Sc., BArch, Engineering-in-training registration or eligibility, Bachelor of Applied Design in Interior Design
- Building Consultant/Inspector work experience
- experience/education in building envelope renewal projects, through past employment in an engineering firm
- Past construction trades experience is an asset, either in management or hands-on trades work in areas such as: carpentry, painting, restoration, concrete work, etc.
- Strong math skills and generally high precision with numbers is essential
- Advanced level proficiency with software, including MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.). Must be confident with basic MS Excel functions/formulas.
- Proficiency in project management and/or design software, such as MS Project, ProCore, Bluebeam, Revit, etc.
- A valid BC driver's license required - in order to travel to client locations throughout Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley
- Must be fluent in English
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
**Must reside in the Metro Vancouver area at time of application**
Compensation
Salary and Commission: $95,000.00-$120,000.00 in the first year.
$130,000 and above is attainable in subsequent years thanks for profit sharing/ commission structure.
