Our client, a leading industrial organization, is seeking an Industrial Plant Cleaner to join their team. As an Industrial Plant Cleaner, you will be part of the operations support team, contributing to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Industrial Plant Cleaner
Location:New Glasgow, NS
Pay Range:$19.05/hour + premiums
Shift: 6am to 6.30pm on split shift days, with occasional overtime opportunities
What's the Job?
- Assist with cleaning tasks across multiple floors, including the 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Remove stacked big bags and empty pallets from the shop to designated dumpsters and hoppers
- Perform routine cleaning of eyewash stations, washrooms, and breakrooms, including sweeping, mopping, and surface cleaning
- Load and unload materials, including totes and pallets, supporting warehouse and vendor operations
- Dispose of waste daily, maintain cleanliness of work areas, and support safety protocols at all times
What's Needed?
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 10kg and pushing or pulling materials
- Valid Powered Industrial Vehicle license
- Willingness to wear safety gear such as glasses, hearing protection, footwear, and respiratory protection when required
- Basic understanding of safety and cleanliness standards in an industrial environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety procedures
